What is a Boltless Rack?
Boltless Rack, also known as Boltless Shelving, is a versatile and durable shelving unit designed to offer high load-bearing capacity and unparalleled storage performance without the need for nuts, bolts, or screws. They are constructed from heavy-duty steel and consist of vertical upright posts, horizontal beams, and durable shelf panels.
Why use a Boltless Rack?
Assembling a Boltless Rack is straightforward and does not require special tools or expertise - often only requiring a pair of gloves, a rubber mallet and a flat-tip screwdriver. The absence of bolts and nuts simplifies the process, allowing users to set up the shelving units quickly.
Boltless Racks often come with adjustable shelves, allowing users to customize the height between shelves to accommodate items of different sizes. This adaptability makes them suitable for storing a wide range of items, from small boxes to large equipment - especially useful for retail and warehouse storage settings with fast-moving consumer goods.
Boltless Racks are easy to assemble and disassemble, allowing users to move or reconfigure their storage space as needed. This convenience is particularly useful in situations where storage requirements may change over time. This versatility also helps users utilize vertical space effectively so that they can maximize their storage capacity, especially in countries or cities like Singapore where our storage areas have limited floor space.
SWL's Metalsistem Boltless Rack - What is the difference?
While most rack manufacturers use mild steel or carbon steel for their products, our METALSISTEM Boltless Racks are manufactured using 3.1 certified high tensile galvanized steel, in accordance with EN10204 standards. This ensures the Boltless Racks are durable, robust and capable of supporting between 150 to 230KG per Shelf Level uniformly distributed, making them suitable for industrial, commercial, and even residential applications.
The primary benefit of galvanized steel is its enhanced resistance to corrosion. The zinc layer acts as a sacrificial protective barrier, preventing moisture and oxygen from reaching the steel beneath. This enables the Boltless Rack to resist rust and corrosion without the need for powder coating. As the protective zinc is metal by nature, durable and does not need to be reapplied frequently, the use of galvanized steel reduces the need for ongoing maintenance and associated costs.
